.A company that sells sports equipment on Amazon wanted to increase brand awareness and off-site traffic to their Amazon listings. They had a good presence on TikTok, so we used TikTok ads to grow their customer pool and boost brand awareness
Research. Optimize. Test. Repeat.
We researched the brand's demographics and launched TikTok ads using their most viral videos. We also targeted audiences based on their interests and used “spark ads” to engage this audience. We’ve also allocated a small budget to keep our existing audience active and launched mid-funnel campaigns targeting customers who had viewed the brand's content in the last 180 days. Our goal was to increase branded searches and ad impressions.
During this period, we haven’t launched any new upper funnel ads on any other platform, including Amazon.
Increase in Brand Awareness
After four months of using TikTok ads, the brand's awareness grew from the 76th percentile to 91st in the Amazon sports equipment category.
Brand searches increased by 45% according to the brand analytics tool inside the Amazon ad console.
Third-party tools also confirmed that the search volume of the main branded keywords have increased.
We learned that TikTok ads are a good and fairly cheap opportunity to push brand awareness. It showed fast and effective results, significantly boosting the client's brand awareness and off-site traffic.
Conclusion:
Using TikTok ads proved to be a successful strategy for increasing brand awareness and driving off-site traffic. By leveraging the brand’s viral videos and “spark ad” TikTok campaigns, we have increased its visibility among its target audience.
