Background

This client is selling in the OTC Medication category. They started selling on Seller Central in 2018 and partnered with BellaVix in 2020, but only wanted support with paid advertising on Amazon. The initial PPC campaigns brought success to this brand because they gained additional traffic and visibility. They went from selling 375 units a month on average to selling 902 units a month on average after the initial PPC boost.

Initially, we saw an increase via exposure, however, after this option was exploited, the brand reached a plateau with sales and could not push through the dead-end they reached.

The Problem

Optimize Listings

A pet equipment supplier is a 1P seller (Vendor) on Amazon. They saw high sales in the past, but they have noted a decline in purchase orders over the last few years.

The truth was that the account was relatively neglected. The listing was pretty basic, had incomplete backend information, relied solely on POs from Amazon, and had no promotional strategy.

The Solution

Product-focused content

We noted the first issue when analyzing the catalog was that all of the listings were missing backend information like manufacturer, dimensions, or backend search terms. Going through all of the listings to update that information improves the quality of our listings.

We put a promotional strategy, starting with a 5% coupon. The goal was to increase the exposure of our products by leveraging the Amazon Coupon Deals page.

We created listings as direct fulfillment, meaning we can fulfill orders using a dropshipping methodology. Direct fulfillment allowed us to generate traffic on listings that were no longer getting purchase orders.

We’ve optimized the front-end of the listings by updating the titles and bullets to be more search-friendly. We’ve also incorporated A+ content to help improve conversion rates on the listing.

The Results

The keywords used in the title and bullets allowed us to rank better for other relevant keyword queries with zero visibility.

The use of natural language and high-volume search terms allowed our product to show more search results leading to more clicks and increased sales velocity.
