Product variations enhance customer's capacity to discover the precise item they seek. Moreover, they boost your product's prominence on Amazon, augmenting the chances of attracting a wider audience. However, creating the “right” variations is vital. The supplement brand launched on Amazon in 2021. By April 2023, the client partnered with Bellavix to expand their brand presence on the eCommerce platform.
Parent-Child Implementation
We discovered several listings that had different sizes but were essentially the same. Certain sizes showed better performance, with greater exposure and a high number of reviews. Conversely, the sizes that performed poorly had less traffic and fewer reviews. We recommended establishing a parent-child relationship for these listings.
The goal was to simplify the discovery of underperforming products, enhance their visibility, and ultimately boost the brand’s sales.
Increase in Page Views and Sales
After implementing the variation, we observed a 25.21% rise in traffic during the initial month. The increase in page views continued, reaching a growth rate of 78.39% by the fourth month. In the fifth month, there was a minor decline in page views, which is a typical response to market fluctuations. However, by the sixth month, page views on the parent level surged by 88.50%.
We also observed a notable surge in the number of page views for underperforming ASINs. There was a 37.65% rise in page views in the initial month, followed by a record-breaking increase of 103.70% in the second month. Throughout the remaining period, we witnessed fluctuations, but overall, the trend of increasing page views persisted.
The brand's total page views also experienced growth monthly. In the first month, we observed a 23.30% surge in page views, reaching a record-breaking 92.99% increase in overall brand page views.
Sales
After three months of implementing the parent-child variation, we observed a 21.33% rise in sales for the ASINs associated with the parent. Furthermore, there was a 30.74% surge in sales six months after implementing the parent-child system.
There was a spike in total sales 3 months after the parent-child implementation, specifically a 22.93% increase in sales. Sales increased by 37.27% by 6 months after parent-child implementation.
