Retail Analytics Update: New Metrics Now Live in ARA Dashboards

Amazon just released a set of 16 new metrics within Retail Analytics dashboards—and they’re already visible under the “Customize Columns” menu (see screenshot).

Some of the newly added metrics include:

  • Confirmed Units
  • Sales Discount
  • Parent & Child Vendor Code
  • Contra-COGS
  • Release Date
  • MSRP
  • Binding, Color, Replenishment Code and more

These additions provide deeper insights into:

  • PO performance (Confirmed Units, Vendor Codes)
  • Profitability (Contra-COGS, Sales Discount)
  • Catalog health (Binding, Replenishment Code, MSRP)

Why it matters: Brands can now tailor reports to track performance across more granular product and vendor attributes—enabling smarter inventory decisions and tighter margin control.

To access: Open any ARA report > click “Customize Columns” > toggle on new fields marked “New!”

Key Capabilities:

  • Create deals across multiple Amazon stores in one place
  • Set deal duration and committed unit quantities
  • Track performance by ASIN, region, and store
  • Clear out excess inventory with strategic promotions

Why It Matters for Vendors:
 Promotion Central simplifies what was once a fragmented process. Now, Vendor Central users can centralize promotion creation, execution, and monitoring—all while gaining better visibility into performance metrics and funding estimates.

Action Step:
 Go to Marketing and Promotions > Promotion Central in Vendor Central to start using the tool. You’ll find step-by-step deal creation, real-time tracking, and editing tools to optimize every promotion.

Key systems include:

  • Sequoia: Uses AI and computer vision to speed up inventory identification and storage by up to 75%
  • Hercules and Pegasus: Transport inventory and packages efficiently across the facility
  • Robin and Cardinal: Robotic arms that assist with heavy lifting and package sorting
  • Proteus and Xanthus: Mobile systems designed to safely navigate and support tasks alongside employees
  • Digit: A humanoid robot used for tote recycling and tasks in human-designed spaces

  • Additional placements available for Prime-Exclusive Best and Lightning Deals with 40%+ discounts
  • New inventory window options for FBA shipments

Key Deal Deadlines:

  • May 23 – Final day to schedule Best Deals and Lightning Deals
  • May 5–event end – Submit Prime Exclusive Discounts (close 6 hours before event ends)

FBA Inventory Deadlines:

  • June 9 – Shipments using “minimal shipment splits”
  • June 18 – Shipments using “Amazon-optimized shipment splits”

Deal Types Available:

  • Best Deals – Min. 15% off, eligible for homepage features and badges
  • Lightning Deals – Min. 20% off, scheduled by Amazon, high-visibility placement
  • Prime Exclusive Discounts – Min. 15% off, visible in search and PDPs
  • Prime Member Coupons – Min. 5% off, displayed across event placements
