Amazon Announces Anti-Counterfeiting Exchange to Help Eliminate Counterfeits Across the Retail Industry

  • Amazon has announced the launch of the Anti-Counterfeiting Exchange (ACX), an industry collaboration that aims to make online shopping safer and curb the sale of counterfeit goods. The platform enables participating stores to share information about confirmed counterfeiters, helping to identify and stop perpetrators more quickly than they would have in the absence of this collaborative data sharing. Amazon invites other retailers and marketplace service providers to join ACX and collaborate with founding members to strengthen the industry’s collective efforts against counterfeiters. Private sector partnerships around data sharing are crucial to combating counterfeiting.

Amazon 2-click European Expansion Accelerator

  • Amazon has launched a new tool called the European Expansion Accelerator (EEA) that allows sellers to easily expand their business to nine European stores with just a few clicks. The EEA eliminates the need for sellers to navigate through different tools, making it faster for them to list their products in all Amazon European and UK stores. It allows businesses to carry out account registration and set-up, translations, listing, shipping setup, product eligibility checks, and catalog customizations automatically in under three business days. The tool also enables continuous expansion for newly listed products and communication through store-specific recommendations. The European Expansion Accelerator is free to use and available to all professional selling partners who already sell in at least one of Amazon’s European stores in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, and the UK.
