Changes to Listing Requirements to Improve the Shopping Experience
- Amazon is updating its listing requirements from December 11, 2023 to Feb 1, 2024, for all product categories except media, digital, and handmade. These changes aim to reduce listing errors and improve customer purchase decisions. While existing listings won’t be affected, new listings and any edits to existing ones will need to comply with the new requirements. The update includes revised requirements on the Add Products page and new listing templates for the Add Products via Upload option. Sellers can still use old templates during a transition period. Amazon encourages feedback on these updates and will track issues through the Seller Forums, with more details in the ‘Updated attributes’ section of the Add Products interface.

3D Models to Replace 360-Degree Images Starting December 14, 2023
- Starting December 14, 2023, Amazon will no longer accept 360-degree image uploads for product detail pages. Instead, brand owners in the US, UK, Germany, Spain, France, and Italy are encouraged to upload 3D models to their listings. These 3D models can be used in various experiences like View in 3D, View in Your Room, Virtual Try-on, and Showroom, enhancing customer engagement and purchase confidence. This shift is due to the compatibility of 3D models with more listing experiences and their similarity to 360-degree images, which will be discontinued. Existing 360-degree images will remain unless replaced by 3D models. Unlike the previous process for 360 images, brands can now instantly upload 3D models via Seller Central. Additionally, Amazon is developing a tool to create 3D models using a phone scan, with more details to come. For adding 3D models to listings, sellers can visit ‘Upload 3D content‘, and for usage guidance, ‘Product types for 3D experiences‘ is available.
