Updated Compliance Verification Requirements for Automotive Tires, Wheels, and Rims Listings

  • Amazon is introducing additional compliance verification requirements for automotive tires, wheels, and rims listings on Amazon’s US online store (Amazon.com) to better protect customers. As required by federal law and existing Amazon policy, these products must comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA).   • Amazon has partnered with Control Union, to make it easier to certify and enroll your textile products in Climate Pledge Friendly. Climate Pledge Friendly Certifications help Amazon customers discover and shop for more sustainable products with a range of sustainability certifications. If your products hold any of the below certifications and were audited by Control Union, you can submit products for Climate Pledge Friendly verification:
    • Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
    • Organic Content Standard (OCS 100 & OCS Blended)
    • Global Recycle Standard (GRS)
    • Recycled Claim Standard (RCS 100 & RCS Blended)
    • Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)

Update to US Referral and FBA Fees Starting January 17, 2023

  • Important Call Outs effective Jan 17 2023
  • Referral fees will remain unchanged
  • Fuel & Inflation Surcharge are being removed all together, and a temporary charge is being baked into FBA fees
  • Additional granularity in our FBA fees which will drive improved inventory health, more efficient use of Amazon’s storage, and create more capacity for sellers who are using space efficiently (Healthy Sell-through)
    • Increase FBA outbound fee rates
    • For Apparel products, a granularity of unit weight or dimensional weight to determine the shipping weight for all large standard-size products
    • Reducing returns processing fee rates for customer-returned products in the Apparel and Shoe categories
    • Increase the monthly off-peak storage fee (January to September) for standard-size products and oversized products
    • Introducing a storage utilization surcharge for sellers who have slow-moving inventory based on weekly sales
    • Increase the surcharges applied to inventory stored between 180-270 days and 271-365 days
    • Increase removal and disposal fees
