But there is one thing you can do so much better than your competitors: invest time and money into copy and images.  Selling fragrances and perfumes online is not an easy task as people generally want to smell the fragrance before they make a purchase. Given how there is no such option on Amazon (yet! Hopefully Jeff Bezos reads this and comes up with an action plan), sellers must use the copy and images to try to create that sensory effect of smell for their fragrance. Another goal that you want to achieve is to paint a picture of how your shopper will feel after putting on this perfume. Sellers must try to capture this emotion anyway that they can, especially when launching new products.

After a deeper dive into this category, one thing that was very surprising is that the copy and images (even for best sellers) are very poor.
